java ….Java is fun ! u can do anything wif this languange… u can do a standalone application or webbased application or mobile application with this java. And , it is free.

But , how well we know this java ? on the 2nd sem & 3rd sem , we did learn java rite…. at that time … we were teach to make some small application…swing application .. and we(or I) might thought that that is enough . We (or I) are wrong !! haha

Wat we learned at that time is no use nowadays. Everything is going to be web based. And java too. We can build a java web application with database using java. It seems to be difficult rite ? But it is EASY.

Last few years , to build a java web application , we will use jsp + struts + servlet… wat is struts & servlet? such an important component to build web application in java…we were not being exposed to when we learn java ..and this struts is not a new thing. Luckily , i get exposed to it from my training sifu. After know how to write a web based application using this things , i was exposed to a new technology use to build java web. – > JSP + Spring + Hibernate…

Haha.. dunno wat rite ? wat is spring? wat is hibernate ?Spring is the platform use to write code in xml to configure your java web application(dunno wat i understand is rite or not…haha). Hibernate…. u can use it to build and control your database table… without needing to use sql. U no need to write sql in command prompt or make table using other sql tools.. just need to write code in java file. And the code is easy … hhee

no idea already…haha… for anyone that interested in java web…. u can follow wat i write below :

(to build a web application wif database…must know Tomcat & sql)

1. Learn java basic OOP concept AGAIN.

2. Learn html(again) + jstl + javascript

3. Learn build a simple web app using JSP(using jstl+dynamic javascript)+struts

4. Learn to beautify interface => DOJO …u can have very nice interface using this DOJO….

4. Learn the latest technology => JSP(jstl+javascript+dojo) + Spring + Hibernate

And the most important thing…. u must follow the development, movement , improvement in java technology. Java is moving very FAST !!

p/s: forget wat lecturer told us tht Software Engineer is not the person to do programming or strong in programming. They are WRONG ! Be strong in programming, guys.
